By 1911 was no longer living with Parents. A Ruth Turner married either Fred Corbishley or George Greenhow in 1908 at Wolstanton. The 1911 census shows and entry for Fred Corbishly, 25 a carter, contracting, from Totmonslow Stafforshshire living with his wife Ruth 22 from Leek, Staffordshire. They had been married for 2 years but not yet had any children. They were living at 66 Heaton terrace, Porthill, Wolstanton. 1921 Ruth now 33 and Fred, 36 now an out of work coal miner from the Sneyd Colliery, are living at with their three daughters. They are now living at 73 Heaton terrace, Wolstanton. 1939 Ruth, born 22 June 1888 and Fred 11 April 1885 are now living at 111 High Street, Halmerend, Halmer End, Newcastle-Under-Lyme R.D., Staffordshire. He is a colliery surface labourer. With them is their daughter Mary born 8 May 181y working in Domestic Service. She later becomes Mrs Bridgewood. |
