1861 and 1871 - living with parents 1881 Living with sister Emily and her husband Caleb at 20 Seaford Street, Shelton and working as a brick labourer 1891 Isaac Copper 32 a green grocer from Talk with his wife Harriet Eliza Cooper 29 from Kidsgrove living at Victoria Street with their children Ethel Annie 6, Frederick Job 5, Wilfred James 3, May 1 and Sarah Eliza 11 months RG12/2115/53 p 13 24th January 1900 Isaac is mentioned in the Staffordshire Sentinel, page 4, under local news reporting that the Fire Applicances company wanted to put a new fire hydrant in Victoria Street “somewhere opposite Mr. Isaac Cooper’s”. 1901 Isaac, aged 42, a coal dealer and grocer running his own business is living at 60 Victoria Street, Silverdale, next to his mother Sarah. Isaac is married to Harriet E (housewife, 40 from Kidsgrove) and has children Frederick J (15 working in family grocery), Lillian (or Lillias) J (14, Nurse girl), Wilfred J (13 Grocer's errand boy, May 11, Sarah 10 and Arthur 7 - all school children) RG13/2587 page 20 1911 Isaac and Harriet have been married for 27 years and had 11 children, 2 of whom have died. They are living at 60 Victoria Street, Silverdale with their children Wilfred, Minnie, Arthur and Edith. |
