Family account: Anglicans at Nether Alderley.
Family account gave name of parents and place of birth. Baptism date from copy of Wrexham parish record

From Wrexham parish records, possibly had a brother, John who was christened 7th Feb 1817 IGI batch 8107532

When Ann married in 1847 her father John’s occupation was given as joiner. Ann’s place of residence was listed as Smedley. The witnesses were John Riley and Mary Barth.

WIlliam Wilson, 19 the nephew living with Ann and her husband in 1871 could be the son of William Turnbull Wilson and Mary Jones who were married in Manchester Catherdral on 18th November 1850 (IGI M097893). As Ann was also married in the same location, it could indicate that the whole Jones family moved from North Wales to Manchester or that the sisters moved to find work.

1861 census reports William Wilson, 40 a joiner and Mary 40, his wife from Flintshire, Llangollen, Wales living at 1 Jones Street Hulme, Manchester with their sons William 11 year old scholar and James 8, both born Manchester.

Christening records from Wrexham show a Mary Jones with parents John and Anne Jones:
6th Dec 1823 John and Anne (IGI member’s entry 8107531).

There are several others in Denbigh but they would make her over 40 in 1851 (possible). There is another from Llanddulas 17th August 1823. Member’s record 7119728.

Ann died in 1899 aged 82 from Cardiac failure (she had been ill for one month) and senile decay.
