Died before his wife. Was probably a stone mason and is said to have put the golden spiked ball on the top of Manchester town Hall. Born in Ireland. Moved to Liverpool with parents Samuel T and Ann between 1849 and 1851. Was living with parents in 1851 and 1861 1871 William Marshall, aged 22, a stone mason from Ireland is boarding with Charles (35 a railway porter from Middlesex) and Maria Brown (38 a dressmaker from Nottingham) at 24 Anthony Street, Everton (West Derby). (Rg10/3813/43 p22) 1873 marries Mary Elizabeth Hallows in Hulme, Lancashire. Witnesses are Abraham Hallows and Sarah Watson. Both bride and groom were living at 30 Rial Street. William was a stone mason 1878 At the time of his son William Stanley's baptism he was living at 23 West Street and wmployed as a stonemason.. 1881 Death of a William Marshall aged 42 was registered in West Derby Q1 1881, 8b 288. |
