We have the following information on my GG grandparents from a copy
of the marriage certificate.

Elizabeth Curzon Cousin 11 ................................ This is the interesting bit! I think Henry Curzon might have been Hamlet Rogers (senior) cousin. There was a William Rogers who married a Hannah Curzon 4 Feb 1795 in Whitmore. I'm working on trying to get more info and confirmation on this link.

They are all given as being born in Hanley, Staffordshire.

Mary Ann Rogers, widow, daughter of John Roberts, married Henry Curzon, widower, on 9 August 1856 in the Old Church, Hanley.

Marriage 1864
Hamlet John Rogers married Frances Waddingham in Winteringham, Lincolnshire on the 14th November 1864. Hamlet's profession was Warehouseman, his age was given as 24, as was Frances. Hamlet's residence was given as Stoke upon Trent and his father was Hamlet Rogers (Printer). Frances' residence was given as Winteringham and her father was William (Mariner). Witnesses were John and Elizabeth Waddingham (Frances' brother & sister).

[1865 when his first daughter E,izabeth was baptised at St Mark's Shelton on 24 Dec 1865 they were living in Twyford Square and he was still working as a warehouse man].

1877 daughter Mary Ellen was baptised at St Mark's church Shelton on 7 July 1877. Parents Hamlet John and Frances. Abode 9 Causton Street (is this the same as Crostin Street). Hamlet J was a glass maker's overlooker. Sadly Mary Ellen died in 1877. Her death was registered in Q3 Stoke on Trent 6b 101

Died of Heart Disease aged 57.
