Possibly the daughter of Isaac Mountford and Mary, christened 2nd May 1762 in Endon, Leek. IGI C011542 Parish record from Endon adds no further information, neither does a similar entry in Leek.

Parent's Thomas Mountford and Mary, chr 17 April 1764 Endon (IGI member's record) - The parish record for this baptism, indicating St Edward's Church, Leek, shows that Thomas and Mary lived at Crow Head. A similar record also appears for same child, parents and date at St Luke's Church Endon, but giving Endon as their place of residence.

There are several other possibilities including

Mary daughter of John and Sarah Mountford of Brown Edge, baptised St Edward's Leek, 29 September 1754 (also at St Luke's Endon)
Mary daughter of John and Sarah Mountford of Endon Edge, baptised St Edward's Leek 4 July 1756, (also at St Luke's Endon) if this is the same couple it suggests the older daughter had died
Mary daughter of Thomas and Mary Mountford of New Grange, baptised St Edward's Leek, 19 February 1757 (from the will of Thomas snr below, it appears his daughter Mary was unmarried in 1799, so she is unlikely to be the wife of Nathan Frost. Also, in most of the written documents, this family write their name as Mountfort (t not d at the end).

A Thomas Mountford, son of John, a taylor, and Sarah his wife was baptised at St Edward's Leek on 13 September 1735. A Thomas Mountford married Mary Sherratt at St Edward's Leek on 11 Feb 1755. The witnesses were Richard Wolfe and Joseph Myott (the latter maybe a parish clerk)
