1841 was living at Longsdon with his siblings. The older brothers were boatmen. Samuel was not there and there didn’t appear to be any parents although some of the children where young, including William who was 10.
1851 a William Wakefield was living in Hartington Town Quarter, Derbyshire with his uncle Samuel Wakefield 57, a farmer of 130 acres from Leek, Samuels’ wife Elizabeth 61 and their daughter Ellen Naden. William, aged 20, was working as a farm labourer.
